-
Can I bring my dog's bedding?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your dog’s bedding. Familiar items like their own bed or blanket can help reduce stress and make them feel more comfortable while they’re away from home.
-
Can I bring my dog's food?
We recommend bringing the food your pet normally eats to help maintain their regular diet. However, we do provide meals at a daily rate if you prefer. If you bring your own food, we appreciate it if it is pre-portioned into individual meal servings so we can feed your dog exactly as you do at home.
-
Do you have indoor and outdoor kennels?
Yes, we offer both indoor and outdoor kennel options to ensure your pet’s comfort. All overnight stays are housed inside our indoor kennels to provide a safe, secure, and climate-controlled environment. Outdoor areas are used during the day for fresh air and exercise.
-
What happens if the weather is bad?
Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priority. If the weather is bad, all dogs remain indoors in our climate-controlled kennels. Outdoor time is adjusted or limited as needed, and pets are only taken outside when conditions are safe.
-
Do you have special amenities for my diabetic animal?
Yes. We are experienced in caring for diabetic pets and can accommodate their special needs. Our trained staff can administer insulin, monitor feeding schedules, and follow your veterinarian’s instructions to help keep your pet safe and comfortable during their stay. Please let us know your pet’s specific care requirements when booking so we can ensure proper accommodation. There is an additional fee for boarding diabetic pets to cover the extra care, monitoring, and insulin administration required to keep them safe and healthy during their stay.
-
What options are available for boarding?
We offer three different levels of boarding to fit your pet’s needs. Medical Boarding is available for animals requiring extra care. The Camp is our standard boarding option, and The Resort provides a luxury boarding experience.
We also offer Kitty Condos for our feline guests. These rooms are located separately from the dog area and are insulated to reduce noise from barking, creating a calm and comfortable environment for cats.
-
What vaccinations does my animal need to board?
For your pet’s safety and the safety of all our guests, we require that all boarding animals be up to date on their core vaccinations.
- Dogs: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP), and Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
- Cats: Rabies, Feline Distemper (FVRCP), and Feline Leukemia (FeLV)
Please bring proof of vaccination when booking. If you have any questions about your pet’s specific requirements, our staff is happy to help.
-
Does my dog have to be neutered or spayed to board?
No, your pet does not need to be neutered or spayed to board with us. However, unaltered dogs will be housed separately from other dogs to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all our guests.
-
Do you board puppies?
Yes, we do board puppies! Puppies are welcome at A Crate Escape, and we take extra care to ensure they are safe, comfortable, and well-supervised. Puppies must be up to date on their vaccinations appropriate for their age, and we recommend bringing familiar items from home to help them feel secure during their stay. (Must have 3 sets of vaccines starting at 6-8 weeks of age)
-
What is your Medication & Supplement Policy?
At A Crate Escape, we can administer medications and supplements to your pet during their stay to ensure their health and routine are maintained.
- All medications and supplements must be in their original containers with clear labeling.
- We follow the dosage and schedule instructions provided by your veterinarian or the written instructions you provide.
- Please bring any necessary measuring tools (syringes, droppers, pill pockets) to help us give medications accurately.
- For pets requiring special or medical care, please notify us in advance so we can make proper accommodations.
This ensures your pet receives their care safely and on time while staying with us.
