Among many things that make A Crate Escape great, from a staff stand point, is the ability to create amazing monthly events that we know our clients will love. Pup parties and birthdays are a fun way to mix up our daycare routines, spruce up our lobby for a couple of days, and have fun taking pictures of cute pups. This coming May we’ll be having a couple of different events, but first and foremost will be a little homage to “a galaxy far, far away”!
Who doesn’t love or at least know about the geek-tastic Star Wars franchise? It’s engrained into our American culture in an undeniable way. From “Luke, I am your father.”, “Who shot first?”, and my personal favorite, “pew, pew, pew!”, the intergalactic drama has been a part of our lives for over 40 years! It’s even trickled down into our pets’ lives as the fandom and the love of all things Star Wars has grown. From leashes, collars, and toys at your local pet stores, pictures of scruffy Shih Tzus in Ewok costumes floating around social media, pups named Chewie and black cats named Vador, and of course….the glorious puns! (Jabba the Mutt, Luke Skybarker, Obi Wan Catnobi and Kylo Hen were some of my favorites that popped up on a random Google search. Definitely not disappointing if you’ve got the urge to do a search of your own.)
We love that this year, for the first time, A Crate Escape will be able to partake in the wonderfully nerdy tradition of celebrating May the 4th (“May the Force”) with our clients! Make sure to bring your pup to daycare from 9am – 4pm on 5/04/2018. Our decorated lobby will make you feel like you’ve stepped into a intergalactic pit stop. Daycare kiddos will have a blast playing with their friends, having their pictures taken with a themed Star Wars background/photo booth (feel free to bring your pet’s costumes if you have them), some treats, and a bandana to go home with. Whether your pup is Light side or Dark side, Jedi or Sith, Stormtroopers or X-Wing pilots, they’re sure to have a great time at our May the 4th party.
